On June 9, 2023, the World Power Battery Conference, organized by the People's Government of Sichuan Province and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, took place in Yibin, Sichuan Province. The conference, themed "New Green Power for the Future and New Growth-driver for the World," saw the presence of distinguished guests. Wan Gang, Vice Chairman of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Chairman of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology (CAST), graced the opening ceremony with a speech. Miao Wei, a Standing Committee Member of the CPPCC and Deputy Director of the Economic Commission of the People's Republic of China (CPPCC), delivered a keynote address. During the meeting, Zhou Yuxian and Huang Qiang engaged in extensive discussions concerning their unwavering confidence, seizing the significant development opportunities within the national new energy industry, broadening the scope of collaboration, and advancing the high-quality development of both parties. They also exchanged perspectives with Zeng Yuqun, Chairman of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited, and other attendees, regarding the future development trends in the power battery industry, with the aim of expanding their cooperation to a more advanced and sustainable level.
